I have been writing short stories since I was a six years old. A couple of years ago, I began going through all of the stories I could find that I’d written and decided to put some of the better ones out there, warts and all, to not only document have far I’ve come, but also…just for fun! To…”get some use out of them”! I found some fun stuff! It’s amazing to see what I thought was good 20 – 40 years ago—but by the same token, it was amazing to find some I had totally forgotten about that were actually really good!

So, I went through them all and corrected the obvious errors, but tried not to modify them much. These are those stories. Below are the links to those I’ve post on my WordPress site. I have not posted everything I’ve ever written (some of my work deserves to remain in the dark for good reason), but the listing below describes my work since 1978. For those I have published, here, I’ve left them as close to their original states as possible, and listed their copyright dates, as well as interesting background material about the stories or their creation.

Since posting the above, I have heavily reworked the better of these (45 of these are in my anthology) with my editor Joyce Combs, and have released my first short story collection, called Do The Dead Dream? An Anthology of the Weird and the Peculiar. Here’s my first review by, Small Press Reviews!

Additionally, Do The Dead Dream? is a 2017 Winner Best Book Awards in Fiction: Short Story Category!

I cut my teeth (so to speak) writing horror, so some of these may well surprise you. I’ve gravitated away from pure horror, but am not above incorporating horrific elements into my stories, if warranted. While I write toward the metaphysical and the paranormal…sometimes I write a story just because the story is too good to pass up…because it just begs (haunts me until…?) to be written. It’s not so much about trying to scare you or excite you…it’s about the story to me…about a story that just won’t “go away” until given life….

The dates below are when I released them on my blog sites, not their original copyright creation dates. All original copyright creation dates are on each story’s post.

I hope you enjoy them!
